Do guys touch a girl to get her to like him?

My friend told me she heard that guys will touch a girl, whether she is their friend or not in order to unconsciously get a girl to start liking them. If a guy likes a girl and finds ways to touch her and she is ok with it then guys continue to do it thinking one day she will want to go out with them. Is there any truth to this?I know some guys are just friendly that way and it doesn't mean anything but aside from those guys, is it generally true?

It is pretty natural to want to touch a girl if you like them. I don't think I would dare initiate touching unless I was pretty sure my feelings were reciprocated though, but I am on the shy end of the spectrum!

It is definitely the case that if the first innocuous touch seems to be well received, men will probably up the ante, usually slowly, because it is a way of finding out if the woman is interested. I don't think that touching a woman could make them want to go out with me though. I do think that it is a way of knowing if someone is comfortable with you, and if you like someone then touching them- whether it is a light touch of the arm, a hug or kiss, feels great because it gives you connection and is the natural thing to do.

Yes agree however you have to be careful you know when to do this, do it to soon or at a inappropriate time and it may come of as she has knocked you back this is not always true sometimes it's just purely bad timing back for a bit and try again :)

Yes, it's generally true; guys who are attracted to you (and are not too shy) will find some innocuous ways to touch you, just to see how you respond. Be careful of the jerks, but most guys are respectful about it though, and wouldn't touch you aggressively or inappropriately. If you flinch or seem to be uncomfortable, we might back off. But if you have no response/ambiguous response/seem comfortable with our touch, we might continue to do it until we get the green light from you to make a more serious move.

It's true. But it can depend on the type of boy and how comfortable they are around girls. For example a boy that's comfortable around girls and is okay with touching may try to "compare hands" with the girl as a way of touching them. Where some that are very forward might even try to hug you. Boy's who aren't comfortable around girls will be less "touchy" as will usually prefere talking and eye contact.

In my manner, I wouldn't touch her even I do liked her a lot. I respect personal spaces and I tend to know about when people will feel awkward at some point if I ever did lay my hand on her.
