How should I react to a kiss on the cheek?

I went on a first date with a guy I really like a couple nights ago and we're seeing each other again tomorrow. The other night, as we were saying goodbye, he kissed me on the cheek. I loved it. But I was stunned. I didn't know what to do. I stutured a quick goodnight and stumbled back to my car. I sent him a text when I got home thanking him for the fun date. Guys: how are girls supposed to react when you kiss them on the cheek? What does it mean? Should the girl kiss you back?

It means that he likes you a lot and is being a respectful gentle man :)
In my culture we both kiss our cheeks at th same time and its a sign of love and respect that can be shared between family members or lovers... regardless it means he's into you and he had a great night :)
So either kiss him back or smile and stare into his eyes and tell him "goodnight..." Or "thanks for tonight... I had a lovely time with you... Goodnight." :3

In America I can't imagine a girl giving the guy a kiss on the cheek in return. I mean, I did that once without thinking and it was awkward as hell hahaha

come one its a kiss on the cheek dont react in a way i give kiss in the cheeks to some friends that are close or even to some that aren't that close because sometimes they give it to me first especially with my french and Spanish friends with my English friends is hugs but i gave kisses on the cheek to one that i liked. It can be that he wants to get closer with you.

I think it means he likes you and thinks you're sweet but doesn't want to rush into things. A lot of guys are afraid to give a girl a kiss on the lips because they don't want to seem too forward and they aren't sure if that's what the girl wants. I think you're fine.

A reaction is an automatic/ initial response. It is nit meant to be rehearse because then it's an act. There is no specific reaction to any situation. Therefore there is no specific way a girl should act when receiving a surprise kiss on cheek.

A lot depends on your age - Most likely he is confused as you are - In normal circumstances a kiss on the cheek is I like you and don't want to push it or frighten you off - You are going on a second date so things are looking good so if he kisses you on the cheek again and you have feelings for him, you can kiss him on the cheek as well. After that if you have future dates whatever you are comfortable with and feels natural to you.

Think he did it to test the waters because he didn't want to go in for a kiss on the lips incase you rejected him whereas on the cheek is not to intimate but intimate enough if you get what I mean.
Maybe on your next date if say you go to the cinemas put your head on his shoulder so he puts his arm round you then go in for the kiss see what his reaction is.

Just give him a happy smile and say you enjoyed yourself and thank him for the night and you're fine. Nothing intricate. I don't think women understand how much just smiling at a guy will make him feel good and have confidence.

I usually go in for a hug and if I notice that they're very happy about it I go for the kiss on the cheek.. Sneaky way of showing that I really like her ;) if I notice that the girl's horny I'll kiss her on the neck

I've never been to the US, so I don't know. But at my place, in Belgium, France and the Netherlands it's a use to kiss nearly everyone on the cheek at social gatherings.
