You'd think it does, but in reality not as much. I've seen lots of girls with big hips and/or big thighs and you'd probably be thinking "Damn, she probably got a big booty" and then she turns around and nope. She has a flat, wide ass.
It gives the illusion of it I guess.

not necessarily. Hips are more upper thighs which connect but are separate from your butt. Your butt is on your behind you. I know ladies with huge thighs and not so big butts but there are some who have big thighs and rear ends

I've seen many girls with big hips, then you look back at them thinking their ass is phat but it's pretty much non-existent.

No not necessarily. Your butt is behind you & your hips are near your thighs. Those 2 body part don't really connect with each other. They both go their separate ways & grow at different times.
