Guy's Behavior

Guys, why do you hug girls from behind? What does that hug mean to you?

i have some guy friends who come up behind me and hug me, basically immobilizing me. My arms are pinned, so I can't hug back. I would like to turn around so I can give them a face to face hug, but they just basically lay on me until they're done hugging. It goes on for a while. All I can do is stand there, be hugged and pat them with the one hand that isn't pinned. Why do guys do this? What does this type of hug mean?
