What does it mean if a guy tucks a girl's hair behind her ear?

I was just curious if this is just a friendly gesture or if it can have other meanings. I was hanging out with my guy friend and all of a sudden he reached over and moved my hair behind my ear. It seemed a little strange because I wouldn't say my hair was really blocking my face too much and he could have just said something. I guess he was being nice.

It can mean many things. It's his way of touching/flirting, he thinks you look better with it, it was getting in the way---the simplest solution is best for scenarios like these in my opinion.

It meant nothing so don't read into it.

It can mean one of two things. It may just be a friendly/playful gesture, or he may be clearing your face to kiss you on the cheek, which is self-explanitorially more affectionate.
