Should a girl be insulted if he slaps her butt?

okay so I'm a normal girl, high school and all, and I've been told I have I nice butt. that's really the only way to phrase it.

my friend got asked out one day and when she got up to leave later, the boy slapped her butt, so she slapped his face! I personally think that was kinda stupid and unnecessary of her.

if a guy slaps my butt, even in the school hallways or something,i just take it as a joke or flirting. should I not?

okay. so allot of you are saying that you think it's offensive, and I see your reasoning. BUT do you think the personal space goes as far as maybe grabbing your waist? like tickling you? my one guy friend does this and I think its okay.

That's a sign of disrespect. When a guy (who is not your man) slaps your butt that's saying he sees you as a sexual object, not a person with feelings. Personally I have slapped guys who slapped me in the butt. It was kind of stupid and unnecessary of him to put his hands on her like that. If you want to let guys disrespect you like you're a ho and think its cute then do you, but it sounds like your friend has standards for how people should treat her and a lot of respect for herself.

Why is it wrong of her to slap him? If he violated her space by slapping her butt why can't she violate his space and slap his face? Girls get some standards about yourselves PLEASE!

If it's unwanted, then it's totally understandable that she felt the way she did. Maybe not to the point of slapping him, but one can assume that if that was her reaction, that she found his 'physical attentions' unwanted and inappropriate.

Just because a guy asks you out, and assuming you accept, doesn't give him the right to invade your personal space like that right away. You might be comfortable with that kind of attention from random people, but maybe your friend isn't, especially not having had a 'boundary' talk with this guy yet.

It IS disrespectful to slap random girls' asses. Accepting it just makes people think it's okay to do, when it isn't.

Only my GIRLfriends can slap my butt, cause I have a boyfriend who would kick a guys butt if they mess with mine. and even if I didn't have a boyfriend I wouldn't let guy friends slap my butt, cause its as if their saying its ok to touch you there and eventually theyd start to think badly of you like "oh mabye I can hit it off in bed with this girl" that's how it tends to be if you let guys do that.

my friend did the same exact thing lol. and when that happens to me, if their someone I don't know/ hate, than I slap them in the face, or knee them in their "package". its totally up to you though. if you don't mind it, that's great. its really what you think on this one though.

I wouldn't. There are a lot of messed up guys in high school: If you give them the OK to touch you somewhere inappropriately, then he might just spread it around, and you could end up with either an assault charge or a bad reputation.
