Theres this girl that I like but I have never showed signs that I like her. Today, my friends where smiling at me and said that they were happy for me. And then later on, that girl text me and randomly ask if I like her. Then she said sorry and forget about it and that we should be friends when I didn't even reply to her answer.

There's no "she might like you" , SHE'S CLEARLY INTO YOU. She probably said that you guys should just stay friends because she was afraid that you would turn her down. (girls and rejection don't go well togeather / with most it ends in tears and a broken friendship; or everything is overly dramatic) Girls would take a guy who doesn't respond as an answer meaning no, I'm not into you. If you like her back then one day you should probably hangout with her alone and bring the question back up again, but if your only looking at her as a friend don't lead her on and don't bring the question up again.

You probably did show signs you liked her, you just think that you didn't...girls are very good at noticing the signs a guy likes them, or your friends could have told her. In any case, she found out that you liked her and she texted you to find out for sure because she has a crush on you too. But then she got all embarrassed about it and changed her mind. If I were you, I would text her back anyways

She probably asked them if you like her and they thought she was cute enough for you so smiling. And if she did ask your friends they didn't give a for sure answer and she was just really nervous about the whole thing so if you do like her just tell her in person

I think she clearly likes you, if she even brought up the subject matter. If she didn't like you I don't believe she would have brought up the question to just end in her feeling uncomfortable by not reciprocating the feelings. She probably said said sorry and forget it just because you didn't answer her and maybe in that time she got scared to really get in depth with the conversation and thus said forget it.

She likes you. She's probably shy, and that's why she said nevermind. She also couldve said nevermind, with the fear of rejection (maybe you didn't respond fast enough in a girls mind...) Also, shy girls just don't show many signs.
