this guy that I've been texting(we sat next to each other for along time in class) for a few days texted me asking if I miss him, what should I say? should I tell the truth should I send a flirty messege or what?

If a guy says this all he's really doing is fishing for a 'yes' because this would let him know that you like him. It's an attempt a lot guys use to figure out if the girl likes him. The funny thing is that this actually tells a guy absolutely nothing, as a girl who is just a friend will have no problem telling them that they miss him. Guys don't generally use this line with girls they just consider their friend.

If you like him, tell him you miss him.

Tread carefully though, if you were to say something like, "I don't know, do you miss me?" He might find this too cryptic and try change the subject because he didn't get a positive response. I suggest saying something like 'Yeah, you better miss me too buster.' If kids even do say 'buster' anymore. That kinda makes it sound not too serious if you're afraid of putting yourself out there too much and it gives him the affirmation that he needs.

"something like 'hmm do you miss me? ;)' and include that winking smiley lol. Or something like that"

Regardless of where he stands in my experience the most annoying thing is a girl trying too hard to act uninterested. It almost always comes off as rude and a total turn off. However, if you don't really like the guy then don't say anything mean, just subtly change the subject and be nice. Its always nice to make friends anyways :)

This sooo sounds like a situation that I recently went through. If you like him, then def. be flirty back! Say something like 'hmm do you miss me? ;)' and include that winking smiley lol. Or something like that. I don't think you should go all out and be like 'oh yes I do, I miss you sooo much!' or anything. You wanna let him know you're interested but don't be too obvious. Some guys are just in it for the chase so that would put an end to it before it even started.

i hate guys who ask questions like that, especially when you two aren't even an item yet.

It makes the guy seem so full of himself or something.

What I usually do when a guy I like asks me stuff like that, I say. ".depends. do you miss me?" or ". maybe. " or ".sometimes". but that is only if I like the guy. And I usually put a smiley face on it, to seem friendly. But if you don't like him, then ignore it.
