I asked a guy out and he didn't reply?

I had noticed him staring at me all the time, he hovered around me constantly, and initially wouldn't even really talk to me, but he was talking to me a bit more now. He's pretty shy, so I thought he liked me, my friends all agreed he seemed interested and i had started to like him, so last night i asked him to hang out the next day over facebook ( i didn't have his number, and i wasn't going to see him again for a little while). However he saw the message pretty much straight after I sent it, was online for a while, and commenting on stuff, went offline, and still hasn't replied even though he's been online. i would've been okay if he'd had outright rejected me, but im really annoyed that he has just ignored me. I think he's just blown me off, but my friends said give it time. what do you think?

Maybe you engaged Into dating relationship too quickly he might have been only been interested in you in a friendly way, not sexually however on the flip side he might be just thinking about the proposal and may need time to think about it hence to take his mind off it he may have been doing his daily stuff.

If I were you I'd ask him after a day or two what he thinks about it but don't pressurise him as this may sway him away

Probably just needs time to think. Give him a little time before jumping to conclusions. it's possible that he likes you, but just isn't looking for a relationship right now for whatever reason, and doesn't want to reject you out of fear that he might hurt your feelings.

Like you mentioned, he's shy. He could just be avoiding it because he may feel like he wouldn't know how to act or what to say spending time with you alone. Or he could just be uninterested. It's impossible to truly know what's going through his head but I do feel like if he really wanted to go out he would make it a bit more obvious :/

the thing is im pretty oblivious when guys are interested, so the fact that not only i picked up on it but other people too, i thought made it obvious. anyways if he is shy why would he reject me?

I can't tell you why unfurtunatley. If this guy is worth your time at all he will get back with you. If he doesn't, let him go and move on and try not to be too upset because it wasn't meant to be. Just give him a little time first

Call him! Ask him for his number first, then call him. Then he can't really just ignore you :) hope I helped
