Why didn't my boyfriend sit next to me?

My boyfriend and I just started dating. He was my elementary school friend since the 1 st grade and now were in 8 th and decided to date. We take the bus together.. but don't sit together, usually across from each other facing towards each. Today i decided to sit where he sits and see if he would sit next to me and he didn't, he just said oh you took my seat so i said _____ sit next to me and he said no im a lonely noodle and sat in the seat behind me? What does that mean? Why didn't he want to sit next to me? We have other friends on the bus that like to talk to us so maybe he didn't want to be judged by sitting next to me? Can someone please help me here, im quite confused. P. S we've been dating for 4 days

you're young. Chances are you dont even know what you kids feel. You will have to tolerate a lot of bullcrap going through those years. Anyways. I think your boyfriend is somehow not sure about you 2 and doesn't want to attract a lot of attention from his friends. Why dont you talk to him about it?
