Guys, when did you start growing a decent beard?

I remember having a good amount of guys back in school who had full beards at the age of 13/14/15! Most of them had decent good beards by the time they started HS.
But my bro is 17 and still didn't grow one.

I'm obsessed with beards and I''m just curious ^_^

I could grow one by age 14-15

but I'm not a fan of beards they are not as much fun as they look, they get itchy you have to use different kind of shampoo on it then what you would use on your head or body, you have to constantly trim it and do maintenance on it. And they get really dirty and sweaty in the hot seasons when your outside working and stuff.

I like stubble better light, medium the best as well as 5 o'clock shadow they look better, are cleaner and easier to maintain.

Plus you have to have the right kind of face for a beard to actually look good on you and work for you.

With stubble it's a lot easier for anyone to pull it off because pretty much everyone looks decent to good with it.

I've been able to grow a neckbeard and mustache since 13. Now (at 16) it all connects, but it only covers my jawline - not my cheeks.

You can't really tell the difference though, because I'm blonde and I prefer to keep it at a very light stubble anyway

I'm a late bloomer. I was late 20's before I could grow one that didn't look like shit (without lots of bald/empty patches or one side 2x thicker than the other). Seems beard-lovers here in America are rare. Few talk to me in winter when I grow it out like Santa to keep my face warm until I shave it again in March. Some complain that it's too itchy/scratchy.

I started having beard around 14-15 but it was a shitty one lol. I finally decided to get rid of it when I was 16 or 17 and then went without for quite some time. only let it grew again a couple of years ago with some minor style variations but always trimmed at 3-4mm

I started growing hair on my face around 13, my mustache was the first thing to appear, but even after 7-8 years from that, I'm still waiting to be able to grow a nice full beard without any patches -_-
