What does it mean when a guy puts his arm around you?

OK so I was walking with about 6 friends today and all of the sudden a guy I know puts his arm around me. Then later on he did it again and after that he put his hands on my shoulders. I've known him ever since I was in 3rd grade and he's a nice guy and all and he's cute. Does this mean he likes me?...Anything helps thanks! :)

Maybe, but I think you should wait for a few more cues until you can be 100 percent certain.

Heaps of my guy friends hug me, yet they don't like me 'in that way', so it could just be that he sees you as a good friend, and feels comfortable around you.
