Why did my crush point at me to his friend?

Ok so we both go to the same badminton club. We got on really well and talked on Facebook every day. But I made fun of him and another girl and he took it wrong and stopped talking to me completely. Just last Wednesday, I was playing a match with my friend and he was sitting at the side. Actually he was sitting out more than playing. Anyway me and my friend caught him staring from the other side of the room and pointing at me to his friend. Why did this happen?

Last night I spoke to his friend and asked if he went last week. Obviously I know he did because I saw him. But he said no because he was too busy. He lied... Why the hell would he lie about something like that?
