I hooked up with a guy I've known for a couple of months. We drank a lot, had sex and afterward and even in the morning he had a lot of affection towards me. We cuddled, he held my hand, rubbed my shoulders. In the middle of the night I shifted my body, and half asleep he pulled me closer to him and kissed my head. The next morning, he kissed me when he left. He made it very clear, however, that we are not a couple.

I'm confused, I wasn't expecting that level of affection from him. especially because it's just a hookup. Did he do this because he just enjoys it, or is there some deep level of feelings that he doesn't want to admit?
