Guys, What does do whatever you want mean from a guy?

So I asked a guy to talk.. he replied if you want after that I provoked him and told him that I'm keeping my distance from him... he said do whatever you want... and I did not reply.. does he mean it or did he say that in anger?

he could have said that with whichever emotion. sadness acceptance etc. just keep your word and stop playing with his feelings
