Guys, how does the ranking of girls from 1-10 work?

I see this habit from guys (especially on bodybuilder forum) ranking girls from 1 to 10 and I don't really get how do they see it, how do they decide who is 7 and who's 9 and so on.

Everyone has at least a bit different taste so for some guys a girl who's usually 5, can be 7 for them.

Also when I see few of their ideals so called "10s"(which not many of them post/show), they're caked with makeup!
Why do guys then say that girls with less makeup or no makeup look more attractive when things like these prove them being liars?

Seeing this stuff just shows that men are even "bigger bitches" than girls who are accused of focusing on looks and money only.

1/10 - Ew. But everyone gets 1 point for existing, zero is not a rank. No redeeming/attractive qualities. The average male would never think of touching or talking to this person. Likely featured on people of walmart. (I am skipping example pics for these first few because I don't want to waste time looking for pics of very unattractive people).

2/10 - Basically a 1, but with one minor redeeming quality. Maybe a nice smile. You would still not likely talk to this girl at a bar or even be at the same bar as this girl.

3/10 - Still unattractive, but with more redeeming qualities. A very nice average looking guy would potentially take pity on her and talk to her, maybe even try to set her up with an ugly friend if he knew this girl well, but pity sex is out of the question.

4/10 - Not attractive, but also not totally disgusting. If there was a gun to your head you could say "well, I can focus on her ankle, it looks like a hot girl's ankle" and you could get the job done. Pity sex is possible at this level. If you have ever said "she might be cute if she lost 50 pounds" she was probably a 4 or 5.

5/10 - Top level of girl that you do not find very attractive. Like an F+. A girl that you would not normally be in to, but she is right on the edge so that in the right set of circumstances (desperation, drunkenness, etc) maybe something could happen. Maybe a little chubby for your taste or something that decreases her from being a 6. You would probably not want your friends to find out about this girl.

It's not 1 to 10. It's 0 to 10.
0= very very deformed face
1= very deformed face
2 = unattractive
3 = somewhat unattractive
4 = low average
5= dead average/plain
6=high average aka kinda pretty
7=somewhat attractive
8=attractive
9=very attractive
10=ridiculously good looking
These ratings are mostly based on how symmetrical and proportional your face is. The more symmetrical and proportional it is, the more you move up the rating system. 10s are just as rare as 0s. 1s are just as rare as 9s. etc. etc.
The rating system is the same for both genders but it's that different features make each gender more aesthetically attractive. Feminine features (boobs, soft skin, etc.) make women look conventionally attractive. Masculine features (jawline, muscles, etc.) make men look conventionally attractive.
But symmetry and proportionality are important for both genders.

everybody has a different reaction to people. When my friends and I are on the bus we sometimes would rank the different people in my grade to pass the time which sounds weird but when we do it. It's based off of looks, personality and just really how they are as a person. Some guys prefer makeup and some no makeup. Guys are not liars it's just that they see people differently.

I know! And that I don't understand that guys don't really take notice of or why do they ignore it. Girl who is 9 or 10, should be beautiful even without makeup.

Most are! They just want attention and they know girls will fall for it. The truth is most men prefer fake women. People say that's not true but it is. Just look who they go after and call attractive? Hello! haha But yeah. Those guys are superficial/artificial. Avoid them at all costs! lol

Sooo true. I'm glad not everyone is so blind. Even girls say the same crap as guys. I think they are trying to believe this but in the end all guys care about is looks. Who cares if she's a bitch if they can sh@g her right? xD

Exactly! xD Whatever its their loss. But there's guys who aren't appreciate real beauty and real women. I mean I don't even wear the whole nine yards of makeup and most the time I go without and I have had guys hit on me so definitely not all guys but a lot, yes lol

For me personally: I don't ever rank a girl at a 10 because I think of a 10 as being like the absolutely perfect looking girl who I know doesn't exist. A 5 would be neutral (not pretty or ugly). So a girl who was super good looking i. e. short, adorable smile and facial features, in between curvy and skinny with good sized butt would get a 9.

Regarding the makeup thing: do you hear the same guy who says he doesn't like a lot of makeup later consider a girl with a ton of makeup to be a 10? Or maybe it's just the ratios of what you hear are completely out of line? I'm not sure, maybe these guys are "bigger bitches" but it could also be that they rationally don't understand that they don't like makeup, or don't know what the difference looks like. When they hear "makeup" they might not know exactly what to picture

Each category gets at most 2 points based on symmetry, shape, etc. The last category is dependent on the sexiness of the female. Some women have the sexy look and or somewhat exotic.

It's completely arbitrary and differs from each guy. Often a guy might do it by comparison.

For example: This girl is a 7, and this girl is a little bit more attractive than her so she;s an 8.

All in all though it means very little.

It varies. For me there's no such thing as a 10, because people aren't perfect. The highest I'd go is a 9, or 9.5

It varies from person to person but to me less than 5 is unattractive 5 to 6 is average 7 is pretty 8 is very pretty 9 is very hot and 10 is basically perfect to me

A five is average, and the standard deviation is 2. A 9 is two-standard-deviations from the mean, and thus is in the 95th percentiles.
