Saving My Selfie on Snapchat?

I have this guy on snapchat and i have been having a streak continuously for about 2 weeks or so. Whatever image or snap i send him, he will only save memes or funny quotes or something related to that. But today, I accidentally sent a selfie pic of me to him when I was supposed to send it to other people. I did not realize he actually saved it on the chat. What is the possible reason that he saved it?

I save pictures of funny and CUTE things I get snapchatted as well... ;). He probably thinks you look good, and wants to make sure he can see what you look like anytime!
