Snapchat help please?

So I’m curious if anyone has ran into this before but on sc I sent a snap to someone over a week ago. They opened it and never responded. Well it stayed a clear arrow. Now just yesterday the arrow became filled with blue but I haven’t sent anything to them and now the day says today as if I just messaged them which I know for a fact I 100% did not. It’s so odd. I’m just curious as to why this would happen and if anyone has noticed this before?
