Based upon those I met at uni and am still best friends with, they're the best people I've ever met. We laugh, chat about everything (and I mean everything, even relationships) and picking a restaurant for a meal out is hilarious because we have to find one that's halal and kosher but we always end up at the same trusty old restaurant lol We get on so well she's invited me to her wedding!

I told my bestie about this question and she said it made her realise that she takes our friendship for granted with regard to how easy it was for us to become friends and how we're easily accepting of our different religions. Other than our eating habits, religion is never a factor. On religious holidays we wish each other the appropriate greetings but that's it. I forgot to mention originally that all of my Muslim friends (guy and girls) are either from Pakistan (my male friend is) or their parents are from there.

I had a friend from Ethiopia but we lost contact after he asked me out and I declined (I was already dating someone and he knew it). Also, I dated a really lovely guy, Pesh but that ended when he said I had to convert to be accepted as his wife. It was a shame as we had the same views on everything but I wasn't willing to change my religion and we didn't reach a compromise.
