We broke up one month ago and he keeps checking the status on whatsapp.
He was the one who decided to leave, because he felt rejected. true story!
Anyway he didn t say a word until three days ago when it was my bday. I thought he wouldn t wish me happy bday because the day was almost over and he did send me a text. I m confused.

He loves you still but he don't want to disturb you even by single message. He can't forget your relationship. I think he has some reason for leaving. If you still Like him and want him message him and let know what happened. I trust you will know what's the problem for and why did he broke up with you. If he can't say just ask him for a lunch and meet he may come out with truth. I feel you better about him and react that way. If you meet try to get him something he likes. You dress what he likes. possibilities of getting his feelings out.

You two had history together so it makes sense that he is checking up on you without saying much. You don’t have to do anything at all. The relationship is over. If you want more peace of mind, take a break from seeing who looking at your statuses. If you keep looking it will disrupt your healing.

He's just being nice. Just cause someone doesn't want a romantic relationship doesn't mean they want to be a total dick about it. He's trying to be a decent human being and is showing he still cares about you and your life.

I think its pretty normal if he checks your whatsapp status i check everyone’s whatsapp status make sure you’re getting obvious signs if you want to make a move on him and its cute that he remembered your birthday!
