Why do men go crazy over a great butt?

More than boobs when boobs are also feminine. What's the big deal? Especially at the gym.

It's such a strong attraction that there has to be a reason rooted in evolution but I have got no idea what it is. Which is odd because all the other attractors, outside of fetishes, you can fairly easily explain.

If I had to guess I'd say that men evolved attractions to women who could more safely give birth, which meant wider hips, that's well understood and why men like the hourglass figure and the curves that it comes with.

But most evolutionary drives are not direct, for example women are attracted to confidence in men but that confidence is a marker of something else, so the attraction is indirect. Your genes desire a specific behavioral or property that itself is not necessarily visible or easy to determine. But if you can infer it by some other method, then that's good enough.

So maybe men like curves on women in general because that signifies wide hips and hourglass figure and thus the ability to easily give birth. And then attraction to other curves on females, such as breasts and butt.

Breasts is a funny one too, especially larger and fuller breasts, because there's really no evolutionary benefit to that despite what a lot of people think. Breasts swell to give milk on all women and it has little to do with breast size.

The whole leggings/yoga pants phenomena is well established now and widely popular with a lot of women. Starring at asses is just too easy due to those types of clothes and the simple fact you can look all you want with little to no chance of getting caught because she is usually walking away or not facing you. With boobs, you have a great chance of getting caught looking because you are facing her. Boobs are nice, and I love boobs, but asses are better for me because of how they move when she walks. Boobs can be covered up or held down easier and really don't move compared to a nice ass in jeans or leggings.

But I can definitely accept that a nice butt is a nice thing to see! It is indeed a biological thing as others have said. It's the same reason Victorian fashion had a huge puffy butt bit. The bigger your hips look, the better they are for bearing children, and since it's hardwired into men to produce strong offspring they're instinctively attracted to curvy women and big butts! However I do believe big boobs are also a sign of being maternal, I mean they're necessary to feed said strong offspring, so that's not to say boobs don't also have a similar effect.

because usually if a girl has wide hips, she'll usually have a bigger and/or rounder ass. this also is cuz it seems easier for a girl to give birth without problems since wider hips means it'll be easier for the baby to come out

also cuz men are just "programmed" to find a girl that can reproduce easily so that's why they usually go for the "curvier" girls

I will say that when it comes to sexy looking butts on females then that's when most guys are coming up with many imaginary ideas on what they can do with the females with a nice ass. Also they will start to plan up ways to get a woman to their homes and get down to business with them. A woman with a nice booty automatically wins over the dudes' attention & would make those guys do whatever they can do in order for them to win the women over. Most guys these days can't really control themselves around woman with a sexy figure no matter what just like women can't help themselves when it comes to being around guys with a beefcake masculine appearance. I think it's something to do with culturally sensitive/ politically correctedness as in in most western cultures at least it's still considered rude to stare or really to even full on look at a woman's cleavage almost specifically because she's probably staring at you staring anywhere but her eyes and feeling objectified as is won't (1) to happen in these situations. Whereas to stare or glance surreptitiously at a woman's posterity she'll probably still know but to get the possible chance that if you're being unobtrusive enough she might be walking away already anyways so naturally with spending more time already looking down and behind after awhile I'm certain one would grow accustomed to if not enamoured by the view.

For a couple of reasons...

1. A nice ass almost guarantees a nice body, have you ever seen a hot ass and a meh body... rarely... Boobs don't guarantee shit, just sacks of fat
2. Everything we need is right there... like everything that's important. It's not just a double whammy it's a triple thread, we got her coochi, where the sun don't shine... and access to upper legs and tummy...

Really, what's not to like about a hot ass...

it has everything to do with architecture. A fit full sensual ass has lots going on angle wise. Its like looking at nature. There is so much to see. side view shows off how round and for some how tall is the curve. also for the fit girls there is the dish effect on side butt that is another angle that indicates fitness. rear view is busy with bottom flair how the ass blends with the legs, the outer flair the inner thigh gap no gap, wether the cheeks are mushed together or have some separation and so on. Its literally on the fit hot girls anyway the most intricate geometry and for us guys who want to "see" there is so much going on that it literally can take years to fully get to know an ass well enough to describe it.

Because it's attractive? I know it's a lot easier and possible for most women to have a decently-shaped one, whereas "good" breasts it not necessarily determined by shape, but also relies on the girl having either some weight and stuff like that. Having a nice butt is a lot more flexible, so a lot more women can obtain it. Breasts are massively overrated, anyway.
