Men wearing nail polish?

yeah I know its 2010, what's wrong with a little guy-polish? I don't wear nail polish myself except for a baby pink color on my toes

I dated this guy about 3 times already and I like him but he wears nail polish (black) and I just think it's weird that we go to the nail salon together. I'm totally cool with self expression and yes he's straight but... every time I look at his nail polish I'm just like... WTF

should I suck it up and stop being such a judgmental bitch?

or is that just too weird?

ive decided not to date him because he's boring. but I've also come to the conclusion that make-up and nail polish and whatever are really just confined to the females because of societies barriers.

why can't a man wear make up? I don't mean the whole shabang but women use concealer and whatnot to hide flaws so why can't men? a man should be able to use the beauty tools a women is "allowed" too use without being a "faggot."

Nothing really.
Usually most things pertaining to aesthetics have constantly flipped throughout history. High heels and makeup have been used by men at first but have been hijacked by women afterwards.
I feel like masculinity has more to do with your behaviour than it does with your appearance.

(Obviously, if you're gonna wear nail polish, you probably wanna look like a guy. Don't put on skinny jeans and don't try your best to look like a girl)

PS: I actually actively searched this question because I wanted to casually wear purple nails to look like Itachi Uchiha :))

I don't have a perspective on "gay" people so I wouldn't mind if he were gay and he wanted to do his nails. but the fact that I might want to be in a relationship with a straight guy who painted his nails is a little off putting. but I've actually decided that I'm not going to date him, its not because of the nail polish, he's just kind of boring.

It's sorta weird. But if you're shallow and can't look past his nails (which nails aren't really a big deal at all) then you should find some other guy. But it's up to you. I'm not saying you are shallow, I can't really tell here if you can't see past the fact that he wears nail polish or not.

I love nail polish on both guys and girls. I just find it pretty. But, hey you have the right to not date him. At least you didn't break with him, over his nails. I honestly have no issues with either gender wearing it if they chose. Guys who want to be completely masculine, no one's stopping you. If you kid wants to paint his nails. You should let him, not abuse, or ashamed him. It's okay to be a little feminine for a guy.
