I feel like I just had my self a session with a psychologist :) .. I am 5'7 and where I live most girls are about 5'4:5'6 ... I hardly even bump into someone as tall as I am and that made me feel like a freak, especially when surrounded by many shorter (considered normal height ) people... I never really had a problem with dating though because somehow I just ended up with guys my height or slightly shorter ( with little or no visible height difference) ... After reading your comments, it made me realise that there is no normal or abnormal height... We are all perfectly crafted by God , with intentions and with perfection... I mean if you don't compare me with anyone, I am not shorter or taller than anyone... I am basically normal, who gave people the right to decide what's the maximum height for females? .. even though I do not wish to be taller , I honestly think your height is perfect , different from what people are used to, but perfect.

yes that is tall. but not THAT tall, I'm 5'7'' so its not that bad to me lol. but when I was in high school I was like one of the tallest girls at the school, I never wore heels to like any dances or anything...not even prom because I wouldve been a skyscraper compared to my date. But one thing that always helped with the insecurity was my aunt who is around 5'4'' ish always told me to be greatful I don't have short stubby legs like hers. and to be happy I have long lean legs. so I always took it with a grain of salt haha.

Thats on the shorter end of the tall spectrum, imo. Like 5'6" would be considered average but then tall starts at about 5'7", but you are still shorter than most guys. Guys don't necessarily like short girls but just girls that are shorter than them. Of course that's not universal, my cousin just got married to a woman that is one to two inches taller than him (she's about 6' tall). And he's not the first guy I know that has been with a taller woman. There are a lot of other factors than just height...
Most men/guys are attracted to taller women than short. I don't know what triggers it but it seems more appealing to most men. But back to your question, I really think that you are not to tall for a girl, I even think that most guys/men would find you attractive than most other girls (based on height). The thing is that, guys/men don't like their women taller than them. This sends out signals in men that the girl is a much more dominant person than them because of the height. Men like to lead which women also do like men to do, but men can't help but feel submissive when it comes to women being taller and bigger than them in size. And this feeling leads to men having trouble in leading since they feel that the girl is a much bigger person than them. Hope it wasn't to confusing though and hope this idea of mine gave you a different view of how you see yourself and other things.

in general, I think guys are OK with their height minus 2-3 inches. Your girl is going to be wearing heels sometimes, so that has to be factored in. I've had a girl who was 4 inches shorter than me (5'7) and one who was 7 inches shorter than me (5'4), and the 5'7 one and I were definitely more physically compatible. If I was hugging her, my lips would touch her forehead. I could put my chin on the head of the other girl, and it was always weird looking down at her like she was a child. It was difficult to not cramp up during intimacy with the short one in some positions, as well.

Personally I like tall girls although if they get taller than I It might not always be positive.
In my oppinion you've got about the perfect height in relation to me (I'm about 185cm which is like 6'1 or such).
Why? Because I don't have to bend over to hug/kiss/etc. and tall girls usually have a better body :)

I don't really care about height... and I think the only problem you'd have would be dating someone taller than you, because most girls won't date a guy shorter than them, and most guys won't date a girl taller than them. So that sounds like your only barrier.
Well I don't really care about my height much, because I still get guys, and any ways I do like tall guys but that doesn't mean I won't date a shorter one.

I'm 5.5 and a half and guys call me tall ALL OF THE TIME! The shortest guy I dated was 5'8 and he said I was his max in height because he liked shorter girls. But I have also have dated guys who are above 6 feet and every single one of them have said "you are on the tall side for a girl". Honestly who cares if guys like short girls, there's no better feeling than walking in a pair of nice heals being taller than the rest of the girls. You for sure will be noticed. For me its not. I'm sure most guys would agree that a woman over 6 feet is where they draw the line. I'm sure most of us don't really have a preference as to how tall a woman should be. Usually we go for shorter women because we feel like we have a better chance of being with them.

Most guys do prefer a girl shorter than them but it's basically near the bottom of the list on our priorities. You may have caught on to this by now, but 99% of guys' physical attraction is about your face, your boobs, or your butt, so only worry about this if you really feel like wasting time on that last 1%. Anything less than a 6 inch difference in height probably won't even make guys think twice about it.
I think most guys just prefer the girl to be shorter than them. That's maybe a little taller than average for girls, but the average guy is taller than that so it's no big deal.

For a relationship, it is all upto how tall the guy is. Generally, it is nice to have the girl 3-4 inches shorter.
Personally, I don't like tall girls anyway and for me, 5'7" or above is not a good height for females. My main reason is that tall girls have big feet and big feet are never attractive and they turn me off. Even the height itself is very unfeminine in so many ways.

It's not your height that is the issue, but your height relative to a guy's. Since you like tall guys and most guys like to be as tall or a little taller than their girl, you will be limited on who you can date. I see way more guys who are short than tall out there. Since I am 5'4" I can date pretty much anyone of them without concern, well from a height aspect. There are only about 1,000 more things that eliminate who will date who, lol.
