Guy I like has been online on fb but hasn’t read my message. Does this mean he’s ignoring me?

There is a guy I like through online and we’ve been talking everyday for about a month. But the past few days has been quite odd like he replies in short responses, take hours to respond and I don’t know if that’s because he’s busy with uni back then and didn’t want to get distracted. I waited for a few days and sent him a FB message saying hi. He’s clearly been online, but hasn't "seen" my message. He’s now finished with his exams and still didn’t say anything. It’s been two weeks since I last messaged him. We are meant to go out after exams too. Does this mean he’s ignoring me/losing interest? Should I just move on?

He could just be busy even though uni has finished or we wants time to think some things through about what's going on between you so he may not necessarily be ignoring you. I know 2 weeks seems like forever but the longer amount of time you give the guy space the more likely he is going to want to talk to you, especially if he knows that you've been trying to message him

Move on.. it happened the same thing to me and I’m happy that I did not waste my time on him because if you think about it if he really wanted to talk to you he wouldn’t ignore you, and also you can be online and “not see” the message by pressing ignore or mute on the conversation... but seriously I hope the best for you

I would suggest contacting him over a phone call, because then at least he can't just ignore you while you're talking. He may just be busy but just have a friendly conversation about what's happening

Do you personally know this person and have you told him that you are romantically interested in him in that way?

Yeah I do. We both have feelings for each other. He asked me if I want to come over to his house for Christmas party since it’s a big thing for his family and he also said he wants to be upfront with people there and there since he doesn’t want to live in regret so I think he’s serious about me

Haven’t met him in person yet so I wouldn’t know. Well I don’t know him well enough so I guess I’m being naive. I was thinking to wait for his reply but I’m kinda doubting that he’s ever gonna responding back to my message but yeah, I don’t know. I have no idea what to do now. I either try talk to him again or just move on

You need to just move on. It's best to start out as friends first and get to know a person before you start into something like that. Otherwise, you're going to get hurt. But maybe you need to clear the air with him and let him know that if he isn't going to take you seriously, your walking. Be intentional.

Alright. I probably will clear the air with him since I hate to leave things unsolved. I probably send him another message to discuss about this and if he’s still not gonna bother respond back, I will definitely move on. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it

Yeah you could move on but he's most likely just doing something or can't really talk at the moment.

I actually want to talk to him but he didn’t open/read my message and he has the time to look at posts and shared them so I have a feeling he doesn’t want to talk to me. It’s been a while too. What would you do if someone you like ignore you like that?
