What does it mean when a guy whistles around you?

Today as I walked into the classroom this guy started whistling as he was walking behind me, but it wasn't like a wolf whistle, it sounded like he was whistling a song :'D But I thought it was weird because he was watching me at the same time. Do you think it means something? (There was nobody else there, we were the first ones who walked in.)

Dude was probably just feeling awkward since he is behind you, walking, obviously looking at your direction since you are in his natural view when walking and don't know where to put his sights in to since you're blocking his view.
I'm a guy so I understand these things. I was walking upstairs behind a girl in a 5 story apartment, she was my neighbor and we both are living on the 5th, so from the ground floor to the 5th I was walking beside her. First I was just casually walking up, just minding my own business, then I suddenly felt awkward for no reason. In psychology they say that a person with a fairly high emotional intelligence could sense the energy or the feelings of another person so maybe that's just it. Now, while walking I thought to myself this is quite a walk upstairs and it gets more intense than just walking silently, so to ease up the environment, I just whistled a song.
