My crush unblocked me after 6 months of NC? But hasn't messaged me?

He unblocked on WhatsApp yesterday after 6 months. We had this really bad argument after which he told me not to contact him again and blocked me. I had said some really awful things to him during that argument and I felt awful afterwards so I texted him a few months later to apologize and called him but he told me he didn't want anything to do with me anymore. I left him alone after that and didn't contact him again. Now he has unblocked me but won't message me. What does this mean? What should I do? I'm scared to message him again now.

Oh and I forgot to add that he's a really shy guy. Could he be nervous about messaging me?

Why are you crushing on somebody who is behaving in that way? This is not somebody you want to be around with even if you got into a very bad argument. If he couldn't forgive you less than 6 months ago, then you wouldn't want to be involved with him in that way. If he had unblocked you, it's because he is no longer afraid of you and will go through his life whether you speak to him or not. It's best you had moved on and delete him off. If you want to apologize, then do so. But don't expect him to change the dynamics of the current situation. And don't read too much into it.

Update: Being shy isn't often the reason people don't message or talk to you. If he was really like that he wouldn't have unblocked you, he would have kept you there in fear of you contacting him. You really must have made him quite upset for him to have you on block for so long. So you need to seriously think about what is the benefit of contacting him.

I did say some very hurtful things to him. I'm sure he took that as a rejection. If I was in his place, I would've done the same thing.

Jepp, don't message him. Just forget him. Block or delete his phone number. You wouldn't want to have a hysteric teenager as your boyfriend would you? Not a big deal to have an argue with a guy and call him names and say any other bad things. True badass ninjas are calm and focused and never allow themselves to get angry especially with a girl. I messaged him yesterday. I said "Hi.. how r u?" And he read it almost immediately, the messenger showed him typing something then he didn't reply.

He's probably just cleaning out his block list when he's bored, i do that too sometimes but yeah blocking someone does help in the long-term, chasing after him or persuading him to talk doesn't help much. Let the history die in the past, don't live that life in the future, you're just walking in circles then

I get it when someone does that on FB but why on a messenger like WhatsApp? Where a person can bombard you with messages? It just seems bizzare when you don't want to talk to that person. I would never do it if I don't want to talk to that someone.

Also there is nothing to lose. If he doesn't want to talk to you then he won't message you and if he's interested and want to send you a message then he might be encouraged by looking at your message.
