Why are fathers more protective of their daughters than their sons?

It seems that mothers are often more protective of their sons as well.

It's probably some sort of subconscious thing that we developed as a species long ago.

Fathers want to be certain the male his daughter mates with is as capable of providing for and protecting her as the father. Mothers want to be certain the female their sons mate with is as nurturing and caring as the mother.

Just a theory.

Or maybe it's just that fathers, as men, know what males are capable of, and same for mothers knowing what women can be capable of. Haha.

Because of the way we are wired like the saying Rastafari stands alone my brother we instictivly feel the need to grow done to have to become men and be able to protect them self because they must be men one day and how men naturly feel the need to protect and look after women

Protective of their daughters so they don’t get treated the way the fathers know will happen but supportive of their sons treating those girls that way. It’s only okay as long as it isn’t their daughter.

Not specially no, protective from people on the outside but when it's at home, sons are the ones to be treated as prince
