Would you judge a girl for getting a nose job?

I am SUPER insecure about my nose. Im middle eastern so its really big, crooked, has a huge bump and the tip droops down especially when I laugh. I am fairy decent looking apart from the nose, which stands out a lot and looks completely inproportionate to the rest of my face. I really want to get a nose job once I save up enough money, but am scared about the judgements people pass. Especially people talking about how fake girls who get nose jobs are. How would you feel about someone, say a partner or even a close friend who told you they were getting a nose job? What would you think of them? and could it possibly be a deal breaker? I dont know how to tell my friends either, I dont usually express my insecurities so Im sure this will surprise them a little bit. Also, if you have had a rhinoplasty before, advice would be appreciated :)

Well, society is shitty. They want to brainwash people to look a certain way in order to cast the ones who don't look up to standards away. Think about it.

Back in the ancient times people didn't have plastic surgery to alter the way they look. I don't know how beauty was like in the ancient times but im sure it wasn't this horrible nowadays to the point where people start committing suicide and getting bullied for their looks.

I personally don't care or have a preference. Whatever makes someone happy then they do it. After all, life is about doing what makes you happy.

It’s their decision why should I care? As long as they’re happy with their decision and it makes them feel great, it’s fine. I have nothing against plastic surgery to a certain extent. I would never judge someone just because they got a nose job. That’s a bit much. It’s the personality that matters anyways.

Tbh people judge harshly when the nose job looks fake. If your nose job turns out looking amazing and natural to your face - people will love the turnout and not judge you negatively. This is one example.

Girl.. if that makes you confident and more secure in social life.. then you should go for that nose job. If something is troubling you and can be done thus you get more positive feelings from yourself.. family and friends are supposed to support you on this journey especially cause it would not be so easy for you.
I personally don't think that girls that make this kind of operation are fake.

If you got a nose job & then looked down on other’s without a nicer nose I would not like it.

Or if I was looking to have kids with a woman and she hated her face so much that she got surgery like that, I would not think she’d make a good mom to kids who look like she used to.

I agree. I’m also really insecure about my nose (similar to the asker it is an objectively awkward nose, so this is not some silly illogical insecurity), but I feel like it’s ulimately better to try to overcome my insecurity and also remember that my nose/appearance does not define me. How can I tell my future children that they’re beautiful just the way they are, and that it’s what’s inside that counts, if I was vain and weak enough to do something like at a nose job? I could never feel good about that.

It's a minor adjustment and it's the most popular cosmetic surgery requested. Most people don't like their nose, no matter their race. I hate mine and in real life when you see mine you see I have a bump too, maybe because as you said I too have middle eastern mix. Mine is pointy but I have wide nostrils and the horrid bump that looks shows in some angle on pictures. But sometimes I think I'll save my money and buy food instead, I'm always hungry.

I hate the side view in photos cause it is roman but I also think the tip is beaky... if it was just the later I wouldn't even consider a nose job but because its the whole nose, I might.

People will judge. You can't stop them. It's more important to make yourself happy. Don't restrict yourself for others. Don't do it for others. If "fixing" yourself makes you feel good about yourself especially when you see yourself in the mirror, don't hold back. Go for it!

It's been said, "do not judge lest you be judged". With that being said, I'd recommend against ANY sort of plastic surgery - unless it's necessary to keep you alive. Doing it to satisfy some self-conscious feelings you have with your body does not fit that scope. You still have free will, so you can still do whatever you want. It's just not what I'd recommend.

Don't change your nose. It's what makes you unique. Understand that the problem are other people who create dumb beauty standarts. God created you this way. Do you think god makes mistakes and you need to fix them? No , you are beautyful and don't need to change it. Ignore the people who say dumb things about it :)

I think you should go for it. I think the criticism is usually for the people who get a lot of plastic surgery and changes just about everything. I think everyone has one or two things they would like to physical change about themselves.

I got a rhinoplasty 3 days ago and am recovering atm. I'm middle eastern as well and HATE my nose so much. Only a few people know that I'm getting one and I'm scared to go back home and everyone point it out but its something I have to do because I was so insecure about my nose I always cover my face with my hand. I'm really young so its even scarier but if you think it'll make you happier I think you should just go for it, to make you happier. forget about what everyone else thinks and put yourself first :) It was hard to tell my friends and only 3 of them know but they're nice about it and don't judge, if they're real friends then yours will be the same!

If it's really an issue for you, then get it. But honestly, it's vanity. Without a photo, I can be sure if it's as unappealing as you seem to think, but in general, noses don't make that much difference to guys.

But u dont own understand, my nose is very out of proportion and is a really hard thing to try and love and accept. Its this huge thing in the middle of my face, which isn't all that bad looking, and it really affects my self esteem a lot.

again its your body do what you feel is right and what makes you happy. i had a needed guess called plastic surgery (jaw surgery) but it was done so well couldn't even tell i had it done. people will notice your nose is different but will not be able tell if the doctor is good at his job.
