Why does my boyfriend constantly make sexual jokes and innuendos around me?

It’s started to really get to me. When we were first dating he never did this. There were one or two instances where he would bring up a sexual referance or two but I just brushed it off.

Now it’s all the time. He often makes crude comments about female genitals and it’s really upsetting me. The other day when I was with him he researched female genitals and then looked on images and I told him I didn’t want to see it and I felt uncomfortable. He apologised but I felt physically sick.

I feel like this is mostly what he talks about with me now. We still have normal conversations and I like it when we do but he always has to throw in a sexual reference at some point.

We have not been intimate together and he said he wants to wait till marriage and holds this value, so it makes it even more confusing when he makes these sexual jokes

That’s crass behavior for him to show you someone else’s genitalia , some people consider that emotional cheating.
And his words are not matching his actions with that , waiting till marriage means being exclusive to you physically and emotionally, he shouldn’t be showing you things like that and nothing is wrong with you for feeling the way you do.
Speak with him about it , if he doesn’t stop that behavior then you’re better off without him. Your person that would not make you uncomfortable would always be there.

He feels more comfortable around you and feels like he has the freedom not to have to censor his language and thoughts. Its actually a positive development as it means he is learning to trust you. If you are physically sick by something he says that is an issue you need to work on, not on him to change.
