My somewhat boyfriend said he is sexually attracted to farts but not the smell. I don’t understand why and want to understand?

One day we were telling each other our dirty secrets and he said he has a sexual attraction to farts. He said he watches girls on YouTube fart. Also he said he likes it but doesn’t like the smell. I’m a bit grossed out but I still love him for who he is. My question is what does he like so much about farts and why doesn’t he like the smell even though he said he likes farts? Also how do I react to this and what to do? I also really want someone to tell me more of this desire so I understand better (Mostly from a man who also has the same desire). Thanks!

It is faulty wiring as far as I'm concerned. It is the sexualising of something that isn't remotely sexual in any way. A lot of fetishes are like that.

I think that it's something that he couldn't actually do in reality. He has already said that the smell doesn't appeal to him and the smell would almost certainly be a factor. I would doubt that the smell of rotting cabbage would turn him on in reality.
