I like the smell of my own farts, is that normal?

Actually, the reason people prefer their own gases is the exact same reason why we can't smell our own body odour like others do. Because it is ours. Our bodies produced the smell, and that smell has been a part of us for our entire lives. If you had a sudden change in diet, or ate bad meat, your gases will smell funky, reason being? You had something out of the ordinary, and your body is letting you know that you don't have the proper amount of enzymes to digest the food properly.

its probably not the most normal thing in the world but who cares if it is or if it isn't everyones different and that's you its what separates you from everyone else and makes you unique in your own way people are people we all come in different shapes sizes color and personality and as long as you accept yourself for who you are other people will too and if your different good I mean really who wants to be part of the crowd and be the same as everyone else that's kind of dull don't you think :) well I hope that helps

A perspective from an article I read recently: It's not uncommon. Generally, when you pass gas, you're relieving mild discomfort, so even if it doesn't smell that great objectively, over time people develop an... appreciation for the smell of their own gas, because the smell is associated with that relief.

So weird, yeah, but not abnormal.

Farts are just funny. I laugh at mine. Sometimes its not so much that I like the smell of them like I like the smell of perfume but when I fart I totally smell it. Sometimes its hard not to, because sometimes its funny when they're funky. You gross yourself out, but its still funny.

no but seriously, I know exactly what you're talking about... I generally greatly prefer the smell of my farts to other people's lol. sometimes I like the smell, but then there's some occasions where they can get bad and aren't pleasant at all haha!

It is normal. And it is even normal not to do much like the smell of them but not to find them offensive because it's coming out of your own body too. It's the same with body odor too.

In my case, I can tolerate one female friends body odor and her farts. And it's because we have worked together for a long time so the smell is at minimum non offensive to me. And she hasn't said anything to mine letalone gagged. And to be able to tolerate someone else's odor, I've gotten to tolerate my own. I hope this helps.

I'd say it's normal. >.> I doubt more than 1% of people actually bother moving places after they fart. Nobody minds smelling their own fart, but it's not like it smells good.
