What does it mean when a guy avoids your confession?

I have this guy friend who is bad at replying, so when I ask him questions he responds a few hours late (It is confirmed by other friends of his and himself he is bad at replying.) So after awhile I said "I kinda like you." and a few minutes later he replys ONLY answering one of my previous questions. So the next day I texed him "Sorry." and he replied confused, then he replied with "Uhhh" then he changed the topic really fast. I mean he seems like he likes me irl, but I don't know if thats just his personality or not, and on texts its just really confusing.

It seems like he has other things that are busy to him. Think about it, if you really liked some one, would you respond them late? No! He may like you, but he's still doing him. Continue explorijf your options as well.
