Despite having “ideal” physiques, my experience has been that these guys are more insecure and usually single. To some degree it’s almost like their muscle mass is directly proportionate to their level of insecurity. Smaller guys I’ve dated usually seemed less desperate and more confident overall. Guys - do you agree with this opinion? If so, do you think they work out so much because they are insecure or do you think they’ve spent soo much time focusing on working out they’ve just neglected building on other parts of their personality/life?

No I don't think body builders are insecure. I think they are self confidenced because most guys envy them for being that muscular. I bet they are single because they don't earn much money

  I am kind of a body builder myself, not the getting big kind tho.
  And I can tell you the part that tells you to exercise is to make you feel good and confident and compensate for the feeling of insecurity
