Seriously, why do they have to wear it? No offense if they do but I just question. They don't have peroids to keep pads in position.

Feels weird without, except for sleeping anyway. A big reason for me is I like wearing shorts, and if I didn't put anything under them often there'd be a direct line of sight to my junk.

Also things like jeans can chaff if nothing between. We may not have skin quite as soft and supple as you ladyfolk, but it still hurts if I put on heavjer pants and walk around for a while without anything under them.

Also some pants scratch or would irritate direct contact with skin, especially if that skin got a bit moist during a hot day. The underwear keeps them clothed if the pants ever did fall down. From a functional perspective, we wear underwear as a barrier between our bits and our bottom layers (pants, shorts, etc.) Underwear either protects them from us (think sweat, or worse), or us from them (think itchy or chafing fabric, zippers, etc.) Also, underwear allows us to wash our other clothes less frequently, which helps them last longer and saves us money, and time doing laundry.
Personally, I hate getting my penis stuck in a zipper.
