My boyfriend said he misses me during sex but we were together all day?

Spent the whole weekend with my boyfriend and we did it a bunch of times. The last time we did it, we were in a dark room and as we were doing it he said "I missed you" and I'm not sure but I think his eyes were closed. This made me kind of uncomfortable bc why would he miss me (even being intimate with me), if we have been intimate all weekend? Should I be worried?

We also see each other quite often (at least three times a week)
