The guy said he misses me?

So, today is my friends birthday. We used to talk, but I told him I wanted to be friends because we were going to be long distance and all. But its obvious we both still have feelings for each other.

So, yeah, I haven't talked to him in awhile, so I was prepared for him to just say "Thank you" after I wished him Happy birthday and that's it.

Instead he wrote, "Thanks Mandii I miss you"

I mean, I said I miss you back because I do miss him, but still how should I take this? Was he just being sincere and honest that he does miss me and that's it, or was he sort of hinting he'd like to hangout? He happens to be back in town for this week.

Well, me and my girlfriend broke up like two weeks ago. I miss her like crazy but I moved on. It is good that you are trying to be friends with him. But try to keep it that way. Try hanging out with him. But remember he is going to leave again. Try to move on. You will be more happy that way.
