What does it mean when a guy says they miss you but then suddenly didn't contact you for three straight days?

We're not in a relationship. And I asked him a day before he said 'i miss u', I asked if he misses me and he said he don't know since he's very busy lately with his life but i'm not satisfied with his answer that's why i keep on bringing it up to him and then he said he misses me a bit. And then the next day, that is the time when he said he miss me but now he didn't even contact me. What does it mean?

It means you may be smothering him over nothing. He said he was busy and “didn’t know” if he missed you. To be honest, kind of a weird thing for him to say but then again, not normal to say “I miss you” to someone you are not in a relationship or is family.

Why did you say that to him in the first place? Seems like you were maybe overstepping that friend boundary into something else that caught him by surprise. He sounds as if he didn’t know what to say and that is the reason for the awkward response.

Given his reaction, I would let it go. You don’t want to push and annoy him any further considering he isn’t responding to you now that you keep bringing it up. Let some time pass and reevaluate the situation a little more carefully next time.

Because we kinda flirt with each other and he's the one who initiated it. And after i asked him that question he made 2 missed calls but i didn't answer immediately because i'm already asleep.
