When guys say "i like your hair" do they really mean or just bluffing?

Im black and I wore my hair in its natural fluffy state but it was also curly because I had it in twist and took the twist out (the style is called a twistout lol). It was also shrunken up to my shoulders because I didn't stretch or flat iron my hair straight. Anyways when i wore my hair like this i notice this guy staring at me like i looked interesting and then he said "i like your hair". Another guy said the same thing earlier that day. One was white the other hispanic.
Do you think they really mean it or are they just being nice because my hair might look different than other peoples hair and they are trying to make me feel better?

They probably said it because they actually liked it. And it being different and looking good is a good thing - it's more likely to stand out when it's different because people's attention are naturally attracted to things that seem different.

I think this really isn’t a big deal. They could have meant they truly do like your hair or maybe they weren’t impressed. Either way don’t let it change you. Just say thanks and keep being you.
