What does it mean when a guy says he likes your hair? Is it a sign?

I work at a diner-type restaurant where we have to wear visors. I always have my in a low, short ponytail. One of my co-workers who always stares at me and comes to my station for a drink (I make the beverages) passed by me and said, "I like your hair." Also, he always comes up to me when I'm working and asks why I'm so quiet, why I don't talk to anybody, and why I just keep to myself and stay in my area. Are these signs of attraction?

I mean I talk to a lot of people there, but I don't really talk to him because he's working in an entirely different area.

Yeah he likes more than your hair but that was a nice compliment to someone that he thinks is lowkey or shy.
