Guys, How long does it take for a guy to come back?

he’s a player... well likes to think he is anyways lol
SO he asked me to hang out and come over and I wasn’t able to as I was busy. However I saw him 2 weeks ago. He’s been messaging me since as well.
2 days later he says he thinks we should stop our friends with benefits which is fine however how long does it take for a guy to come back? Why does this guy run hot and cold? Do guys regret ending a situationship in the heat of the moment? Please if you can answer these questions ☺️

He usually won't come back. I would suggest moving on and finding another guy that gives you what you need.

Well he’s usually does... that’s why I’m asking why do you think he out of the blue wanted to stop... his words were “I don’t think we should anymore...” like fair enough but I know for a fact he’ll message me again it’s been going on for 2 years now

He said he’s been seeing this girl and he was with her yesterday and the day before but she lives in far away so I know as a guy I’m 5 mins away and I’m sure when your bored you want convoency

Well, if there is a pattern then follow that for the best guess. It's quite possible that this time is different or he'll be back when he is horny again (in which case I say give it a week).

Yea but do you think honesty he just thinks he’ll say this to me because he knows he can get me? Or is he saying this because he’s getting it from this girl? What’s a good reply to say when he does come back around? I did say to him I agree with him and let’s just stay friends and I said I was seeing someone

One of the problems here is that this all revolves around sex, so, yeah, he'll probably be back for that at some point soon because he knows he can get it. Best thing to do is find a guy who wants a monogamous relationship.
