Do men/ guys show love through sex?

My boyfriend says love making is how he shows his passion and love for me. Of course, he shows it in other way too.
I wonder if the idea that men show love through sex and passion is generally true?

Passion, maybe. Not love.

Men don’t *show* love by having sex. They *feel* loved when having sex. (Assuming it’s not casual.) Rejection, from his perspective, even from a wife or girlfriend, definitely puts distance between you. I think what men and women misunderstand about one another is that, generally speaking, women need to feel close to have sex and express closeness by wanting to have sex whereas sex is what men need to feel close in the first place. (In a relationship, that is.)

True love is shown mainly through self-sacrificial acts. Denying or delaying yourself fun, education, financial gain, living where you want etc. is the clearest way to show someone they’re loved by you.

From the sound of it, I'd rather have passion. Love in your description sounds like a lot of work and misery.

Work, certainly. Misery? Nah. Love is very rewarding.

It depends, but generally it becomes a bit more caring and passionate as opposed to just doing what he wants and then done.

Really interesting question. But I do think its true personally. I think physical intimacy is a lot more easier for a guy to express his emotions (compared to a verbal or any other way). I guess it just comes more naturally to them and is the best way to make them happy too (when the sex is combined with real love and passion as you are going through in this case).

No. Sorry, he is doing that to get more sex out of you. Husbands do after they have already bonded to you emotionally. The more you believe it, the more sex he gets. That's why premarital sex is always called selfish sex. Because if they aren't nice to you, they know they're not getting sex. Common sense.

As for myself, I like to show and feel that sex is an expression of love. It is a special way for a lady to show me that we are doing something that has a deep meaning - love.
