From a girls perspective is a BAD BOY considered one ONLY if he's overly attractive?

im curious thoughif a guy who by default lacks any sort of empathy, concience,& walks through life not giving a F about anyone or anything? he's too selfish & only uses others for his own benefits now this is the interesting partmost females hate this guy mostly because of how he looks with this destructive behaviorit doesn't look as charming & attractive if it were to be an overly attractive guy who would act exactly the same I view it as a double standard

I'll let you in on something - bad boys actually aren't confident. Hence all the abusive, jealous, controlling behavior unleashed on their victims - girlfriend... or boyfriend.

This limits them to picking out weak willed partners, so, you wonder how a pretty guy/girl got tangled in that fucked up relationship, or an uglier guy/girl with an attractive-ish bad boy.

I've know lots of ugly smooth dirtbags. Biggest "player" I knew was ugly as all hell, most definitely was a "badboy", and alllllllll the girls thought they could change him. It's not about looks, it's all the attitude.

I don't think the original appeal of a "bad boy" came from being like a selfish sociopath. I actually think the "bad" part of term is misleading, and now it's like people conflate "bad boy" with "asshole". I tend to think it was at least originally more like a very independent rebel, like a pragmatist who doesn't just follow rules for the sake of following them: like a Han Solo as opposed to Luke Skywalker, like Maverick in Top Gun as opposed to Iceman. These guys tend to be cocky but aren't necessarily villains or sociopaths; they're just sort of independent loners who don't blindly follow rules.

my first ex cheated on me with a "bad boy" type... and she fell for him cos he seemed exciting at the time, and treated her bad sometimes and guess what happened? he cheated on her with his step son's fiancee and got her pregnant while he was seeing my (then newly) ex girlfriend and did this to her over Christmas time so bad boys are called that for a reason, they treat women/girls they are with like shit and offer them the world until they get what they want then cheat on them until they dump them or have no use for them

I agree to an extent. From my experience, girls don't like *overly bad boys* or the ones who take it too far. Of course if the guy looks attractive otherwise, a badass personality adds to his appeal. For me, staying mysterious, indifferent to almost everything, messing anyone who messes with you and knowing how to deal with things makes young girls swoon over a guy who looks attractive already.

Girls on the internet are so smart and sensible. Every single one of them avoids bad boys, hates cocky guys, and loves sweet shy guys. They'd never be stupid enough to date a bad boy.
