Guys, Would this creep a guy out?

I recently just got a job at a coffee shop and most of my coworkers are of college age or older while I am a high schooler. However, there is one guy my age who goes to a neighboring school of mine, and he works a lot of shifts with me. We only introduced ourselves to each other and haven’t talked much. He has a unique first name and I found him on Instagram pretty easily, but I didn’t want to follow him in case he’d think it’s creepy.

As a guy, would you find it creepy if a girl coworker followed you randomly on Instagram?

My first reflect feeling would be, "I think she might like me", but equally I could be wrong. It would be a little strange if I didn't see the add coming though. Men generally tend not to like surprises.. I'm sure some evolutionary fanatic could explain this better than me.

In an case, the Usually intersection goes something on the lines of;

"Hey!"

"Hey, what's up?"

"Nothing, what's your insta?"

... nothing special here right? Just a plain old direct conversation. Just how men like it.

Please remember that mens default setting at work is not looking for dating situations.

If you are interested in him, being direct and above all discreet is always respectful.

"Hey (name),

Just realised I haven't got you on Insta! What's your add?"

Here's a different approach. How about work with him some more, and get to know him. TALK to him. Instagram is such a waste. You make far stronger friendships, relationships, etc in person. Maybe after a month or two ask him if he minds if you followed him. No rush, right?

You should communicate more and in essence ask permission to follow in person. You share the same workplace !!
