Guys, do you get boners when you feel love? Either you feel loved and/or you feel that you love your partner.

My boyfriend seems to get boners when he kisses me (whether we are kissing each other, or he's kissing me on my cheek, neck, etc.) Or sometimes when we hug each other. He said that he didn't have sexual thoughts but he was getting boners. I didn't ask him. He admitted that he was getting boners.

I was wondering whether the male "secondary brain" associates kisses with sex, or is it just that some guys get boners when they experience feelings of love?

I do not need lectures on differences between sex/lust and love. I know the differences well, that's why I'm asking, besides sex, can a man get boners with feelings of love?

I do, yes.

The scenario you described could go either way, though. A lot of times, a guy's body will react to kissing by associating it with the possibility of sex, which will obviously lead to a sexual response (i. e. erection).

However, it is also possible to get an erection to due to feelings of love, that don't necessarily require any physical contact, at all. If you do truly love someone, deeply, then that can manifest itself as an erection, as well.

I've experienced both, and do regularly experience both kinds, in regards to my girl. Her body, and her touch (or touching her) will produce an erection, but I will also get them spontaneously, simply because I love her so much, and want to be with her. Yes, even if I'm not currently thinking of sex, or if the situation has nothing to do with sex.

Hopefully that makes a certain amount of sense?

Yes that sounds good. One time he did something which he thought was terrible, but I was not mad at him, didn't even think about being mad at him, and I told him it was okay. He thanked me and said that he loved me, and then when he hugged me, he got a boner and he said he didn't know why he was getting hard. He didn't have sexual thoughts.

It depends on the guy but for me, yes. I care for my girlfriend so much that when she is around I get turned on even when I am not initially thinking about anthing sexual. I find pretty much everything she does sexy and beautiful even if it isn't inherently sexual.
