Some certainly do, but many of us were actually taught manners and taking responsibility for the safety/protection of women and kids. When going up stairs, I always walk behind the women, whether it's my girl, or my family. The reason is that if they slip and fall, I'll be there to catch them. For the same reason, if we're walking down the stairs, I go down first and I keep them right behind me so if they slip and fall, I can keep them from tumbling down the stairs.

That might seem unnecessary if you're wearing sneakers, but if you are wearing heels, as many women do, you'll immediately appreciate why we do this, especially if the stairs are slick or uneven or dirty.

As long as the ass in front of me doesn't look like cottage cheese, yes. I mean, come on, there is a bouncing ass, or two, right at face height swaying left to right, and I have to look forward up the stairs... what am I supposed to do, gouge my eyes out? I catch a couple times where a girl checks me out and walks past me to get on the stairs first, then slows down, you already know the answer lol
