Nope, but its not pretty when you can see the string above the trousers. It just screams look at my arse crack, and nobody really wants to do that, not even men. But thongs have good uses, they stop you from having a VPL, especially in light clothing. Although I do find white skirt, with black thong trashy, just as a white top with black bra, again it screams look at my t*ts, and to be fair there are easier ways of doing that, and still look classy. I am not a prude, but I've been there and done it, and seen the way it looks, not good.

It's not trashy at all. Most guys think thongs are great. Just make sure you're not letting them hang out all over the place. Dress conservatively and you'll be seen as conservative.

It depends. If you are using it as beach wear, yes I think it is. If you are wearing it as an actually undergarment, it's fine.
