Guys, why do you all prefer tall girls?

Is it because they are more appealing? Or do short girls turn you off?

I have heard guys saying they don't consider short girls as a serious relationship. Since I don't exactly fall into the tall category, I sometimes felt I am left over because of my height.

So is there any guy who actually likes short girls?

Okay, first of all where are you from?

This tall girl hype is only a thing in Sweden, maybe in Nordics general.

When you look at other countries, you see a mixture of different preferences about womens height: some prefer tall, some prefer short, some prefer average, some barely care at all.

I have never seen tall or short girls particularly struggle in dating in many countries such as Germany, Russia and UK. There might be general tendencities for tall or short, while it is only mild. Sweden is an odd case here where vast majority of men agreed on women must be tall and it became a "norm", rather than a mild preference. Even same degree as short men struggle in dating around World.

Even in US (maybe in Canada too) short, petite girls around 5'1 (155cm for non metric folks) are more popular than tall girls. Even though we Americans have a slight preference for short girls does not mean tall girls struggle; there are many men who belong in the miniority who like tall women. It is just that probably those who like short women exceeds the number of those who like tall women in US. Maybe on contrary is true for Germany; those who like tall women are more than those who like short. However Sweden is the only country where women seriously struggle in dating because of short height.

My suggestion is, unless whatever reason you live in Sweden is more important than you dating life, try other country. As I know, Germany and UK have not such a weird obsession about womens height.

I like who she is, first, and her size, height, and other physical features are just icing on the cake of her, when I like her, as a person!!
Smaller, shorter ladies, are a lot more fun to snuggle, and cuddle with, because they just naturally 'fit' when I curl up, around them, and snuggle close, when it is cold.

I've never really dismissed a girl due to her height. I'm 6'3" so I'm usually taller than most girls tallest I dated was 5'11" and shortest was probably 5'4"

Most guys like short girls. For me I prefer tall women just naturally on how they look, but they're also closer to my height. I'm almost a foot taller than the average female, so I'd prefer if a girl was closer to my height. Once it's more than a foot it just changes the dynamic for me.
