Okay so the basics: he is 27, good-looking and we work at the same place. Our mutual friend gave my name to this guy 2 weeks ago and we started to have a chat, later sexting. He is single (but he's been hurt a lot in his previous relationship as I know) I'm single (I just ended a 6-year-old relationship because it didn't work out). I absolutely can't see why we can't meet up, but anytime we are sexting, he seems so serious about it and he keeps speaking like what he's GONNA do to me. But everytime I ask him about an exact day or time or whatever, he's dodging the answer... I don't understand honestly, neither of us want anything serious, I'd be fine with a one-night thing or a regular hook up, I could just go to his place but he keeps avoiding this topic. Why is that? I'm losing my mind honestly, all the sexting thing works so fine between us and our friend told me that he definitely fancies me, so why is this behavior? Is he not ready for someone else after his relationship (it ended like half a year ago), but if that's the case, why would he text me like that? I'm trying not to push anything, trying not to overthink or whine about it, but it's so confusing.

boils down to being scared of being hurt again. seriousness during sexting is to increase both of you's enjoyment. easier to continue and less chance of catching feelings (well stronger feelings in this case) by keeping the distance via electronics (internet/phone)

So it will be better if you go off in contact with him. And see what happens.
