I think perhaps he is too shy to ask you out? Maybe he wants you to make the first move or to say something like aren't you my bf? or I wish I had a boyfriend now...I wonder where I can find one...I think you are the lucky man...etc something like this. If he brings it up a lot then he must have strong feelings for you. Texting 20 times a day is more than nice I think.
I experienced this before and basically the lady was trying to bait me into asking her out.
This means he likes you and want you so much to give him a hint that you like him so he can be that lucky man by becoming your future boyfriend, maybe husband, so if you like him, let him know that you see your future with him, he will then, ask you out for dinner or a dance maybe ,xx
he likes you and thinks you are a great catch. why don't you just say "you're going to be lucky because I'm falling for you" or something like that.
I'm sure it'll make him happy.
