Why would he try and impress me on a date but never text me afterwards?

We have great dates, no awkward silences, good intelligent conversation, teasing and laughing constantly. He talks a lot in monologues, I can tell he’s trying to impress me. He said he’ll be in touch to arrange our next date but then 2 weeks later he hasn’t contacted me. Is there a chance he’s got fully distracted by work, how does the male brain work, do they sometimes prioritise work?

That's strange so you did not stay in contact after the date? I would be keeping in contact if I was interested daily we would most likely be speaking till our next date.
